Properties of Howlite

Howlite is a stone of awareness.  It will give you the gift of wisdom and enlightenment.  It is also a powerful calming stone perfect for meditation.  Howlite eliminate selfishness and thoughtlessness.

It was named after the 19^th century mineralogist Henry How who first discovered it in Nova Scotia.

Howlite also goes by the names White Buffalo, Sacred Buffalo, Lapis Howlite, White Turquoise, Silico Boro Calcite and Kaolinite.

It is usually white or light gray with gray, black, or brown veining that looks much like a spider web.  Howlite is frequently dyed green or blue to resemble a Turquoise, or red to look like a Coral.
