Labradorite is a Feldspar mineral – the most abundant group of minerals found in the earth’s crust and was first found in Labrador, Canada.

It goes by the name Spectrolite, or Rainbow Moonstone when the labradorite is in the white matrix.

Labradorite is found in the United States, Mexico, Madagascar, Finland, Greenland, Italy, Russia, and Scandinavia.

The colors of the stone range from gray white, pale green, and different shades of blue, usually with flecks of gold and iridescent blue flashes.
