FAQ

What is “creating an account”?
Creating an account on blackbrookshop.com allows you to keep track of your points and store all of your info—like your birthday (so we can remember so send you something special)!  It also ensures that we have the most up-to-date information so that we can send you special offers and on-line store event invites.
Do I receive anything for spreading the word about Black Brook Shop?
Absolutely!  When you spread the love you earn BIG!  A successful new customer referral earns BBS Loyalty Rewards Program members 2,000 points – that’s $20 in rewards to treat yourself with.  You can also earn up to 1,000 points by connecting with us on social media and completing various social media activities.

ENROLLMENT

How do I join?
BBS Loyalty Rewards Program is currently offered to US residents only.  You can open an account and become a member of the BBS Loyalty Rewards Program online here, by simply providing your first name, last name and email address.
How do I earn points?
Points are earned on qualifying Black Brook Shop purchases.  Qualifying purchases are defined as purchases of merchandise on-line at www.blackbrookshop.com and/or www.blackbrookshop.etsy.com excluding:  free gifts, sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges, personalized products purchased on blackbrookshop.com, discounts, redemption of Discount Coupons, redemption of birthday certificates, redemption of gift cards, and fees or other excluded charges.  Program points are awarded upon purchase of Black Brook Shop Gift Cards, but not on redemption.
Who is eligible to participate?
The loyalty program is open to individuals that are at least 18 years of age and residents of the United States.
Why do I have to provide my email address to join the BBS Loyalty Rewards Program?
We need your email address to deliver communication regarding the program, rewards status, and special birthday bonuses.  An additional benefit of the program is email alerts of special offers and events, many just for program members, and these are also sent through email.  If you wish, you can cancel (unsubscribe) from the promotional offers at any time and still receive your rewards updates via email.

POINTS

How do I earn points when I make a purchase?
Points for qualified purchases through www.blackbrookshop.com will automatically post to the members’ account within 72 hours of the qualifying purchase.  Points for qualified purchases through www.blackbrookshop.etsy.com will post to the members account after the Receipt ID for the ETSY purchase has been entered into the members account.
How do I know how many points I will earn?
Members earn 10 points for every qualifying dollar spent with Black Brook Shop.  Points are calculated on total spent after discounts, Discount Coupon redemption and before taxes and then rounded to the nearest point increment.  As an example, if your sales total before taxes is $35.61, you will earn 360 points.
Do I earn points for the purchase of Gift Cards?
Yes, members earn points for the purchase of Black Brook Shop Gift Cards.  Points are not earned on purchases made with a Black Brook Shop Gift Card.
How do I know how many points I have?
You can create and access your account online here.  Point totals are reflected on pages within My Account.  If you still do not see them, contact customer service at cs@blackbrookshop.com for assistance. You’ll need to provide the name and email you registered with.

How soon will I be able to see the points I’ve earned in my account?
Points for qualifying purchases will post 24-72 hours after the qualifying purchase is completed on www.blackbrookshop.com or after the Receipt ID has been entered into a members account on qualifying ETSY purchases.

What is excluded from earning points?
Points are earned on the total www.blackbrookshop.com and/or www.blackbrookshop.etsy.com purchase value excluding free gifts, sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges, personalized products purchased on blackbrookshop.com discounts, redemption of Discount Coupons and redemption of gift cards, fees or other excluded charges.
Do points ever expire?
Active members enjoy non-expiring points!

Points are valid for 12 months from the date of the last qualifying purchase.  Each qualifying purchase will automatically extend the expiration date of all unused points in a member’s account for 12 months from the month of the qualifying purchase.  If the member account has no qualifying purchase activity within a 12-month period, all points in the account will expire.

How do I redeem points for Discount Coupons?
Once you have at least 500 points eligible for redemption you will be able to redeem them in 500 point batches for either $5, $10, $15 or $20 Discount Coupons within your BBS Loyalty Rewards Program account at https://blackbrookshop.com/my-account/.
May I get points for purchases made before I became a member?
Points cannot be accumulated prior to the effective date of the program or on purchases made prior to you activating your BBS Loyalty Rewards membership.
What do I do if I forgot to enter my receipt ID on a qualifying  ETSY purchase and realize I did not receive points?
At this time, we are unable to award points if you do not enter your Receipt ID into your member account after a qualifying ETSY purchase.  Points will not post automatically for ETSY purchases.  Each member is responsible for entering the Receipt ID for ETSY purchases into their account in order to receive points.
What happens to my points if I make a return?
The points accumulated with a purchase that is later returned will be deducted from your account balance.  Should the number of points deducted from your account create a negative point balance, points earned and posted to your account will be applied to the negative balance until the account balance reaches zero.  Then, points will resume accumulating for future Rewards.

REWARDS

What can I purchase with my Discount Coupon Rewards?
Discount Coupons are valid towards the purchase of any Black Brook Shop merchandise available at www.blackbrookshop.com (please contact Customer Service at cs@blackbrookshop.com if you would like to use your Discount Coupon for a www.blackbrookshop.etsy.com purchase).
How do I know my Rewards Status?
You can see your current points, club level and your proximity to next club level on the membership status page of your account.
Do my Discount Coupons expire?
Nope! Your Discount Coupons are yours to keep providing you make a qualifying purchase at least once a year to remain an active member.
How do I redeem my Discount Coupons?
Once you’ve successfully redeemed points and have received your Discount Coupon, simply enter the Discount Coupon Code into your Cart at Checkout – the value of your Discount will automatically deduct from your total.  A minimum $40.00 purchase is required to redeem Discount Coupons at www.blackbrookshop.com.

Can I use my Discount Coupons with another promotional offer?
Yes!  Discount Coupons are combinable with other Black Brook Shop promotional or sale price offers, not to exceed the purchase amount.  In cases where Discount Coupons may not be combined with other promotions, the promotion terms will make that clear.

I have over 500 points in my account but have not received my Discount Coupon yet.
BBS Loyalty Rewards does not issue Discount Coupons until the member redeems points in his/her member account.  Discount Coupon codes will be automatically e-mailed to members who have successfully redeemed points.
What happens to my Discount Coupon if I make a return?
In the event you return merchandise that was partially or wholly paid for with a Discount Coupon, no Discount Coupon or points will be reissued to you.  If you must return part of your purchase, we encourage you to make an exchange instead so you can retain the value of your reward.
Can I give my rewards to someone else to use?
Discount Coupons and points are not transferable and may only be used by the member to whom they were issued.

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

What are the membership levels and how do I achieve level tiers?
Member status levels are based on achieving points – as a member earns points they will move up the level tiers.  There are seven levels to the BBS Loyalty Rewards Program:

Level 1 = Arrow = entry level; members with 0 – 999 points
Level 2 = Peace = members with 1,000 – 4,999 points
Level 3 = Love = members with 5,000 – 9,999 points
Level 4 = Hugs = members with 10,000 – 14,999 points
Level 5 = Feather = members with 15,000 – 19,999 points
Level 6 = Moon = members with 20,000 – 24,999 points
Level 7 = Fab Elite = members with more than 25,000 points

How do I know how close I am to the next level?
Once you’ve registered at blackbrookshop.com, you can log into your account to see how many points you need to reach the next status level.  You will also be able to review past orders to determine when your active membership year expires.
How do I maintain a level tier?
Members maintain a level tier (or increase levels if points are earned) by remaining active.  A member is considered “active” when they make a qualifying purchase at least once a year.
Can I qualify to maintain my achieved level tier for multiple years in a single year? For example, if I make 3 purchases within a year, will I be considered “active” for the next three years?
No. You must qualify as an active member each year by making at least one qualifying purchase.
Eligibility is reviewed regularly. If you do not make a qualifying purchase to remain active in a 12 month period, your status and benefits will expire.  The 12 month year begins on the date of your last qualifying purchase.

OTHER BENEFITS

When will I receive exclusive offers and discounts?
Black Brook Shop will send member-only offers from time to time throughout the year. You will receive these offers through various communications, including the email provided in your account profile. If you provide a mailing address, you will also be eligible to receive exclusive offers via postal mail. To ensure you receive the full benefits of your membership, be sure you have opted in to receive Black Brook Shop emails and keep your account profile updated with your current and preferred email and mailing address.
How do I earn and use Free Shipping benefits?
Members who have achieved Love, Hugs, Feather, Moon and Fab Elite Status will be sent a Free Shipping Coupon code to be used toward a future online purchase of any amount at blackbrookshop.com.
Free Shipping Coupon codes can be entered at Checkout.  Coupon is valid toward standard shipping only; expedited, international, or bulk/excluded items are not covered.  Coupon code may not be combined with other promotional or sale price offers, discounts or coupons (except the standard 25% Fab Club Membership discount).

What is my account number?
Upon enrolling, you provide your first name, last name and email address – your email address is your account number.
How do I update my account information?
Existing club members can update their information at any time within My Account.
How will I receive membership updates?
Communication about the program, including upgrade status notification, will be sent to the email address you provide upon enrollment.
How do I cancel my membership?
A member may cancel their membership at any time by contacting Customer Service at cs@blackbrookshop.com.  Cancellation may take 10 business days to finalize.  Upon cancellation, membership will be inactivated.  Please note, any unredeemed point balance or unused, valid Discount Coupons in the account at the time of account closure will be forfeited and customer access to the account will be denied.
